P3

                                     Unit 44 – P3
a) Setting up appropriate equipment

For the footage to be successful, we had to use certain equipment to ensure the quality of the footage looks professional.

Camera
To record the footage, we used a camera, so the quality of the footage is professional and looks crisp when watching. Also, the camera type we used was a canon.

Using the camera was good, because it allowed us to do certain effects which may have been difficult to achieve by using other devices (e.g. making footage look blurry at first then adjusting the lenses)

Tripod
We used the tripod so that when we recorded the footage, the camera was still and focused on what needed to be recorded.

Doing this was good, because if we recorded all the footage by holding the camera in our hands, the chances of the footage being shaky was highly likely.

Green screen (Chroma Key)
For the matte painting, we used a green screen so when we edit afterwards, we can edit the matte painting onto the green screen.

This was good, because using a green screen as a type of canvas for the matte painting will ensure that when editing, we can make it look as realistic as possible. (If we edited the matte painting on anything else, the chance of it looking artificial would be more likely, because it would be more difficult to edit)

b) Following script

In terms of following the script, we successfully followed the script as a group by taking into consideration what shots we can incorporate within the film, so the script is followed continuously.
For example, at one point during the script, the protagonist is chased by a man, so a shot we decided to do was have someone chase the protagonist.

c) Following safe working practices

For safe working practices, I filled in a risk assessment sheet for certain hazards which could occur if we aren't careful/considerate.

I did this to ensure we are fully aware of what can happen to the protagonist or us if any hazards occur/what to do if the hazards occur.

d) Following the production process

Me and my group followed the production process by creating a storyboard containing three components which are related to the filming.

The three components were
- Mise-en-scene
- Camera work
- Sounds

This worked well in my opinion because it ensured that we were organized so we can produce successful footage.

The way we followed the storyboard is by including certain shot types which we incorporated into our filming (e.g. the camera at a low distance to record the protagonist and the drone)
